Official Rules

1. Eligibility. The Contest is open only to legal residents of the United States who are 18 years of age or older at time of entry. Employees, officers and directors of Sponsor, its parent companies, affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies, and their immediate family members (spouse, parents, siblings, children) and household members are not eligible to enter or win.
2. How to Enter. During the live broadcast on Facebook, YouTube, and TikTok, trivia questions will be asked. To enter, submit the answer using the entry method announced during that live stream (for example: live chat, comment, or the official entry form link). Only entries submitted during the 30-second answer window shown for each question will be eligible for that question’s drawing. Multiple entries may be accepted only if otherwise stated during the live broadcast; otherwise one entry per person per question.
3. Selection of Winners. For each trivia question, all timely entries that provide the correct answer will be pooled. A single winner will be chosen at random from that pool. Random drawings are final and binding.
4. Prize(s). Prize descriptions, approximate retail value (ARV), and number of prizes available will be announced prior to or during the live broadcast. Prizes are non-transferable and no substitution will be made except as provided herein at the Sponsor’s sole discretion. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater retail value if the designated prize becomes unavailable for any reason.
5. Notification & Results. Winners will be posted on upinthepast.com. It is the responsibility of entrants to check the website to determine whether they are a winner. Sponsor is not responsible for any failure of winner to receive notices due to privacy settings, spam filters, or incorrect contact information provided by entrant.
6. Claiming Prize / Verification. Winners may be required to provide proof of identity and eligibility and to complete and return an affidavit of eligibility and publicity/release form (where lawful) within a time period stated by Sponsor. If a potential winner cannot be contacted, fails to return required documents within the required time, is found to be ineligible, or does not comply with these Official Rules, the prize may be forfeited and an alternate winner may be selected.
7. Odds. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible, correct entries received for each trivia question.
8. No Purchase Necessary. No purchase or payment is necessary to enter or win. A purchase will not increase your chances of winning.
9. Publicity Release. By accepting a prize, winner consents to Sponsor’s use of winner’s name, image, likeness and city/state of residence for promotional purposes without notice or additional compensation, except where prohibited by law.
10. Taxes & Fees. All federal, state and local taxes and any other costs or expenses associated with the acceptance or use of a prize not specified herein are the sole responsibility of the prize winner.
11. Disqualification. Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any entrant or winner if Sponsor determines, in its sole discretion, that the entrant has attempted to tamper with or impair the administration, security, fairness or proper operation of the Contest or has violated these Official Rules. Use of bots, scripts, or multiple accounts to enter is prohibited and will result in disqualification.
12. Limitation of Liability. By participating, entrants agree to release, discharge and hold harmless Sponsor and their respective officers, directors, employees, agents and representatives from any and all liability for any injuries, loss or damage of any kind arising from or in connection with the Contest, participation in any Contest-related activity, or acceptance or use of any prize. Sponsor is not responsible for technical failures of any kind.
13. Governing Law. These Official Rules are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to its conflicts of law principles.
14. Privacy. Personal information collected from entrants will be used by Sponsor for administration of the Contest and in accordance with Sponsor’s privacy policy. By entering, entrants consent to the collection and use of their personal information as described.[If you do not have a privacy policy web page, be sure to provide one or remove this sentence after updating.]
15. Winner Responsibility. Per the process described above, results will be posted on upinthepast.com. Entrants are responsible for checking the website to find out whether they are a winner. Failure to check the website is not a valid reason to claim a prize after the claim period has expired.

17. Amendments. Sponsor reserves the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the Contest or these Official Rules, in whole or in part, at any time, for any reason, without prior notice, subject to any required regulatory approvals.
18. Disputes. Except where prohibited, entrants agree that any dispute regarding these Official Rules or the Contest will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Illinois.
